ï»¿The new Toyota Wish is the compact MPV of the Toyota family, and with the choices of a 6 or 7 seater variant, the Wish has abundant space and is a truly versatile vehicle.
The new Toyota Wish has a unique design: the high intensity discharge headlamps are shaped in a sharp, wing-like form and accentuate the distinct, extended front of the vehicle. Toyota has also designed for optimum aerodynamics, with the elongated front joining seamlessly with the roof, the Wish glides smoothly through the air, and provides an easy ride.
By far, the most attractive attribute of the new Toyota Wish is the vast amount of space. With the 6 or 7 seater option, the new Toyota Wish comes fitted with comfortable and fully supportive seats in all 3 rows. The floor is large and spacious throughout the vehicle, allowing for ample legroom. The Toyota has also added a flexible design feature to the Wish, a 50/50 split bench is available by easily adjusting the third row of seats. This can come in useful when that extra bit of space is needed for luggage or shopping bags. Toyota has added the luxurious touch to the Wish, and, depending on which variant you are interested in, there are options of a 7-inch touch screen audio system with 6 speakers as well as an Optitron Meter with Illumination Control.
The Toyota Wish is available in 1.8L and 2.0L variants. The new Toyota Wish has been designed to output maximum performance: the secret lies in Toyotaâ€™s trademark Valvematic technology. The Valvematic technology is an enhancement on the VVT-i mechanism: it incorporates continuous valve lift control together with VVT-iâ€™s valve timing control, thereby producing improved power output and superior acceleration responsiveness, together with a marked decrease in fuel consumption. This technology has also been designed to allow for cleaner emissions. The new Toyota Wish comes with a 7-speed Sports Sequential Shiftmatic transmission, which gives the driver the pleasure of smooth gear changes and a comfortable drive. Depending on the variant of Toyota Wish, there is also an option of the Smart Entry and Push Start system, which is Toyotaâ€™s keyless entry and start system.
Keeping in mind the possibility of transporting upto 7 passengers at a time, Toyota has designed the Wish with very high safety standards. The new Toyota Wish comes fully fitted with 10 SRS airbags: dual front, front side, front, middle and rear curtain shield airbags. The front seats of the new Toyota Wish have been designed with active headrests: these cushion and fully support the head, neck and upper back of the front passenger and driver, in the event of a collision.
Toyota Malaysia has introduced the new Wish with a price tag of around RM157,000. The price, combined with all of the performance, style and safety features on offer, makes the new Toyota Wish an affordable vehicle which is suitable for a family or even as a small company car.
